Rape Suspect Last Seen in Youngsville

A rape suspect is on the loose, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office needs your help looking for him.  Police say they issued an arrest warrant for 47-year-old Ronald Lewis for Aggravated Rape on August 24, 2012 after he allegedly committed the crime the day before.

His last known location was the 100 block of Linden Lewis Road in Youngsville, Louisiana. Police say Lewis knew the woman and that he used a knife to commit the crime.

Captain Kip Judice says, "These are traits of a progressing offender and the sooner he is in custody the safer Lafayette Parish residents will be." Police say Lewis is 6 feet tall, about 180 pounds with multiple tattoos on both arms.
