This has been a huge week for some Louisiana musicians, singers and songwriters who are doing big things nationally!

Carencro's Marc Broussard appeared on the 'George Lopez Show' performing the new single 'Lucky" off his new self-titled CD. Lafayette's Givers were on Jimmy Fallon with their song 'Up Up Up' which they've been doing live for several years, but was included on their debut CD 'In Light.' Scotty Granger, who happens to be Jordin Sparks Creative Director, is from New Orleans and he survived another round on Bravo's songwriting show 'Platinum Hit'. Then there's Lafayette native Lelia Broussard who is about to win the Rolling Stone magazine cover contest! (And let's not forget Lafayette High's Jacee Badeaux, who won fans across the country with his solid performances and gracious nature on American Idol.) It's great to live in a place with such varied and deep musical roots! Check them all out!
