Garbage Pickup Today

Lafayette Consolidated Government says that Friday, August 12th's garbage collection will proceed in areas that are not flooded, but the trucks won't roll where the water is high.

Republic Services has announced that Friday waste collection will continue in areas where there is no localized flooding. Friday garbage and recycling customers in areas that cannot be reached due to flooding will be serviced as soon as waters recede. Customers are asked to leave their cart at the curb until collection is made. For the safety and preservation of residents, waste collection employees and property, Republic Services will not run trucks in areas with high water.
