People in Louisiana are ready to assist those impacted by the recent hurricanes, and Townsquare Media in Lafayette, Louisiana is teaming up with the United Way of Southwest Louisiana and Prejean's to get supplies to those in need.

So many people need our help and that is why we are asking you to join in and help us get supplies to places like Florida and North Carolina.

This week, we will have a supply drop-off location at Prejean's Restaurant off of I-49 in Carencro. Here are the times you can drop off your donations:

Monday - Thursday: 10:30 am - 9 pm

Friday & Saturday: 10:30 am - 10 pm

Sunday:10:30 am - 4 pm

Here is what we need and will be collecting for those impacted by the storms:

Personal Items:

· Baby formula (powdered)

· Baby diapers

· Adult wet wipes

· Toothbrushes/toothpaste

· Baby wipes

· Bath soap

· Feminine hygiene items

 

Household Items:

· Gift cards

· Paper towels

· Toilet Paper

- Batteries

· Plastic silverware

· Paper plates

· Bottled water

· Bleach

· Plastic tarps

· Trash bags

· Flashlights

· Clorox cleaning wipes

Here's a statement from the United Way as we prepare to assist those impacted by the devastating storms:

"As these communities face the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Helene and the looming threat of Hurricane Milton, immediate action is crucial. United Way Southwest Louisiana is committed to collecting essential supplies, including water, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, and other necessities that will be vital for the affected individuals and families in the coming days and weeks."
