Was J. C. Penny Wrong?

You may have heard about the 17-year-old J. C. Penny employee who was asked to go home and change because what she was wearing was too revealing.  But you may not have heard the whole story.

Sylva Stoel was on the job at J. C. Penney where she had been employed for only 2 weeks.  She was wearing shorts that she had purchased in the J. C. Penny 'Career' section when she was asked to go home and change because the red shorts were too revealing.

Stoel tried to explain but her supervisor insisted she go home and change and asked how long it would take her.  She said the whole day...because she wasn't coming back.  She quit.

So the question for you is this, was J. C. Penny right or wrong?
