Vermilion Parish Implementing Curfew for Rural Parts of Parish
As Governor John Bel Edwards’ Stay At Home Declaration takes effect at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Vermilion Parish announces its own implementation of curfews for both juveniles and adults within the Parish.
The curfew for Juveniles (17 years and younger) and Adults (18 years and older) starts tonight (March 23) and will happen between the hours of 9 PM to 5 AM each night until at least April 20. This curfew prohibits and/or controls pedestrian and vehicular traffic, except essential emergency vehicles and personnel.
These curfews are for rural areas of Vermilion Parish only. Different municipalities may have differing curfews and times, or none at all. Please check with your respective cities, towns etc for information on possible curfews.
So far, Vermilion Parish has no confirmed cases of COVID-19.
