(St Landry Parish) - Authorities in St. Landry Parish are looking for those who are responsible for damaging a Catholic Church in South Louisiana.

The St. Landry Crime Stoppers Facebook page reports that St. Ann's Catholic Church, off Highway 190, was damaged on Saturday, 11-29-2025.

Several stained-glass windows were broken at the church, and upon further investigation of the property, more items were found damaged by vandals.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers says:

"Upon further inspection, the following additional damage was noted on the outside of the building: broken PVC plumbing pipes, broken electrical outlet, broken concrete sewer lids, broken spotlight in the front of the church, and cracked glass on the side door of the church."

It is estimated that vandals caused $6,500  in damage to the church located near Opelousas.

Authorities are asking if you have any information in this case to contact them at 948-TIPS or to leave tips online at stlandrycrimestoppers. If your tip or information leads authorities to those responsible for the damage to the church, you could earn up to a $1,000 reward.
