They're both New Orleans natives. One played defense, the other, offense. They both made their mark on special teams. Tyrone Hughes played defensive back at Nebraska. The Saints drafted him in the 5th round in 1993. If you're too young to remember, he was electrifying! He entered the NFL record book in a game against the Rams on October  23rd, 1994. Tyrone returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, a record he shares, and compiled a record 347 total return yards. He amassed more than 8,000 return yards in his NFL career. Michael Lewis was a wide  receiver in high school, and didn't play college football. He bounced around the Arena League, then took a job driving a beer truck. Running a fast 40 yard dash in the rain outside Saints headquarters got him a spot on special teams in 2000. He was selected All Pro in 2002. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael a few years ago. He joined me on my radio show...And let me wear his Super Bowl ring! They'll be inducted in conjunction with a home game this season.
