Traffic Alerts Now Available On KTDY Mobile App

A new push notification channel has been added to the KTDY Mobile App to notify you of potentially hazardous or other traffic situations.

The "Traffic" category can be found in the list of categories under Alert Settings, joining the existing "Breaking News", "Exclusives", "Weather", "Videos", and "Events" categories.

If you do not yet have the KTDY Mobile App, it's free to download in the iTunes Store or through Google Play.

To receive the traffic alerts, just open the app and slide the new Traffic channel button to the right. Here's  how to get that done:

Once you have downloaded and opened the app, you'll see the "ALERTS" button. Push it.

This should open a list of past alerts to which you are currently subscribed. At the top of the page, you will see the "Settings" button. (I've circled it in red in the picture below)

Once you have clicked on the "Settings" button, you will have the opportunity to customize your alerts (which notifications you'd like to receive, "quiet times", and app sounds).

Click on the alerts you'd like to receive and then you're all set!

Remember, if you like to participate in our app-only contests, make certain that the "Exclusives" channel is turned on.
