Remember them? The Furby, which Wikipedia describes as a "hamster or owl-like creature", took America by storm and was the hottest Christmas toy for 1998.

One of the earliest attempts at an interactive AI creature, the Furby enjoyed over 40 million in sales, saw a few updates and a resurgence in sales in 2005 and again in 2012 (with that most recent version coming with its own smart-phone app).

I just got a Furby. If you saw my story from a few weeks back, we helped clean out my uncle's house, and this Furby was in there.

Just for grins, I checked Furby values on eBay:  the one pictured here can be purchased for as low as $25. Others (used) can be bought for as low as $5. There are a few rare, un-opened Furby toys that are listed for sale from $250 - $350! (I wish I had the foresight to keep  something unopened to see if it rises in value over the years!)

Should I "activate" it and start to learn Furbish? Did you have one? What did you like most about your Furby? What was most aggravating about your Furby?
