If you thought the locker room celebration after the Saints NFC divisional playoff win was wild, check out the afterparty.

As I'm scrolling through the (black &) golden content after the big win, I see my buddy Mike Swift is DJng at a surprise birthday party for "The G.O.A.T." The next post was a video with Saints head coach Sean Payton. As it would turn out, he was providing the soundtrack for a surprise 40th birthday bash for Drew Brees.

Drew doesn't technically turn 40 until tomorrow (Jan 15) but he was surprised with a shindig at Port Orleans Brewery on Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans and if you were one of the lucky few that got to attend, it looks like it was a party fit for a king.

an.gle events threw the bash for Drew at the brewery owned by former Saints offensive lineman Zach Strief, who know calls the Saints games at WWL. In addition to DJ Mike Swift, The Molly Ringwalds performed 80s covers along with Choppaโ€”who did a live version of the new Drew Brees edition of 'Choppa Style.'

Brees was celebrated by his family,ย friends and his teammates. Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, and many more Saints were in the building along with a few celebrity friends like Keegan-Michael Key (who killed it in a dance battle), NBA legend Isiah Thomas and even a special delivery from Ellen, who dropped a recorded video message for Drew.

You are kind, you are generous, you are such a great guy on and off the field. I'm very grateful to call you my friend. I'm sending you all my love -- happy birthday! I'll see you after the Super Bowl, go Saints!

Everyone wore special black & gold "40" hats and drank from a massive ice luge carved in the stylings of the same number. The party went on into the wee hours of the morning as Drew and his wife tore up the dancefloor almost an hour past the initialย end time of 1 a.m.

As I saw all the videos and photos flowing down my social media timelines I wondered if the party would have still happened if the Saints didn't win.

I guess we'll never know. Happy Birthday, Drew!
