(Cecilia, Louisiana) - Shaquille O'Neal came "home" for the weekend, and he was spotted at the Cecillia High School Homecoming game.

Shaq loves Acadiana, and he's often said it's home to him. Through the years, we've seen him show up in various locations around Acadiana.

Not long ago, the LSU icon was seen at a Best Buy in Lafayette, and Shaq has been known to purchase several vehicles from local dealerships. Yes, Shaq loves Acadiiana, and no, he does not yet have a house in River Ranch.

The big fellla has had a hectic week as the NBA season has kicked off, and he's now on a new television network. Inside the NBA debuted this week on ESPN, and Shaq has been all over the network as they debut their latest show.

Still, that did not stop him from making his way into South Louisiana, and the former NBA great was spotted at the Cecilia High football game on Friday night. Here he is with fans on the track, cheering on the Bulldogs.

By the way, Cecilia defeated Opelousas 53-7, so Shaq may be the Bulldogs' good luck charm, and he may need to show up again this season or in the playoffs.

Now that we have our first sighting of Shaq in Acadiana, we are officially under #ShaqWatch, and we anticipate seeing more photos of him with fans on social media.

Hey, if you're going to the LSU game Saturday night in Baton Rouge, keep an eye out for the big fella; he's been known to show up for big games in Tiger Stadium.

Since the original story was posted, a video from Tiger Stadium has surfaced, showing Shaq interacting with fans outside the stadium on Saturday afternoon.
