Sen. Jonathan Perry Announces Candidacy For 3rd Circuit Judgeship
An Acadiana attorney and state senator is adding his name to the Nov. 6 ballot for the race to fill a district judge seat.
Today, State Senator Jonathan Perry officially announced his candidacy for Louisiana’s 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal.
Perry--a 45-year-old Republican from Kaplan--currently serves as a state senator following his election to that post in 2011. He previously served as a state representative from 2008 through 2011.
The Lake Charles-based 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal, 3rd District, Section 4F seat covers all of Vermilion and portions of Acadia and Lafayette Parishes.
Perry previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District Court where he practiced as a prosecutor. He is the founding and managing attorney of Perry Law Firm where his law firm concentrates exclusively in Elder Law and Estate Planning.
