The Autism Society of Acadiana is hosting a FREE presentation: Safety Tips and Strategies for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Their Families.

Thursday, July 18, at the South Regional Library in Lafayette, a professional investigator, law enforcement trainer, and a parent of a young man on the autism spectrum, Mr. Dennis Debbaudt will make the presentation.  Debbaudt has authored or co-authored over 30 articles and books since 1993 including: Autism, Advocates and Law Enforcement Professionals: Recognizing and Reducing Risk Situations for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders, articles for the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin (April, 2001), and many other law enforcement and autism publications. Debbaudt Legacy Productions' training video, “Autism & Law Enforcement Roll Call Briefing Video” is in use by the Department of Homeland Security, and hundreds of law enforcement agencies nationwide.
