Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is a former Pro Bowler with starting experience.

Last season, the New Orleans Saints traded a 3rd round pick for Bridgewater, who had one year left on his deal.

This season, Bridgewater is expected to re-sign with the Saints, backup Drew Brees, and eventually become the starter when Brees retires.

Despite a better offer from the Dolphins, who are reportedly shopping incumbent starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill, Bridgewater values being the starter and a winning locker room than the likelihood he would be a starter in Miami this season making more money.

Backing up Brees will be immensely valuable to Bridgewater, who is in the driver's seat to be his heir apparent under center for a Super Bowl caliber team.
