(KTDY) - Former New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton commented during a press conference that led one of his former quarterbacks to clap back at him, and he even brought up Bounty Gate.

While recently speaking to the media, Sean Payton, who now coaches the Denver Broncos, hinted that he wished Russel Wilson was still playing quarterback for the New York Giants, rather than Jaxon Dart. The rookie quarterback, Dart, replaced Wilson earlier in the season, and Dart has been outstanding.

Well, once Russell Wilson, who once played for Coach Payton in Denver, heard his former coach's comments, he unleashed on social media. Wilson called Sean Payton, who can be petty at times, but is also classy, and stated that he was surprised by Payton's comments.

He would add that Payton still seems to be engaging in "Bounty Gate, but this time via the media. If you recall, Sean Payton was accused and found guilty of placing bounties on opposing players while in New Orleans.

Here's what led Wilson to respond to Coach Payton.

Now, we should note that Payton and Wilson never "clicked" while together in Denver, and who can forget Payton's meltdown over his starting quarterback, Russell Wilson?

Some in the national media are applauding Wilson for standing up to Sean Payton, and one of them is former LSU football star Ryan Clark, who works for ESPN. He noted that Payton never treated any of these other quarterbacks like he treated Russell Wilson, and he had this to say about Wilson's Tweet aimed at Sean Payton.
