Popular Hand-Held Garment Steamer Being Recalled
Another recall is now happening for a hand-held clothing steamer that had previously been recalled in 2022 according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Unfortunately, they are being recalled because of a burn hazard associated with the product. According to officials the steamer can spray, leak, or expel hot water while it's in use.
The Black+Decker Easy Garment Steamer, Model Number HGS011, is being recalled, and officials say customers will be getting a refund.
In 2022, a similar recall was issued, but at that time Empower Brands was offering a repair on the models. There were just over 500,000 of them recalled that year.
The recall covers 1.6 million more units this time, and it also includes the other 500,000 that were sent a repair part previously.
The following are the units being recalled:
HGS011F with the UPC # 0 50875 82840 7
HGS011S with the UPC # 0 50875 82839 1
HGS011 with the UPC # 0 50875 82838 4
HGS011T with the UPC # 0 50875 00272 2
They were sold in various colors.
