Folks in Central and South Louisiana are bracing for another round of storms.

As we get through the Spring months in Louisiana storms become more and more frequent, and many here welcome them as gardens and flower beds are now planted.

So, if you're one who planted new vegetation in your yard and you're tired of watering them, you may have a nice break coming in the days ahead.

According to KATC's extended forecast, our next rainmaker will be on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

So, if you're like me and you're ready for some rain to knock down the pollen and dust in our region, we may get our wish early next week. Early predictions show about an inch of rain between Monday and Tuesday.

Strong storms early next week may stay west of Acadiana, but it will be something to keep an eye on as we begin the new week on April 29th.

As for what it may be like leading into next week, it looks like the weekend will be your typical warm and muggy weekend, which isn't bad for those attending Festival International in downtown Lafayette.

Here's a look at the forecast for early next week and keep in mind, things could change by the start of next week, but for now, it looks promising if you're hoping for rain.
