When people are brought up in an area with little diversity, sometimes others' traditions seem strange.  It happened to me, as I grew up in a predominately Catholic community; the first time I met a Baptist, I went to Confession!!  The priest laughed it off, and let me know that there was more than just one religion (give me a break! I was 8!!).

I saw this post on Facebook, and it explained why Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas.  Now that I read up on it, it makes sense to me!

How about you? Do you celebrate Christmas?  I do, but not so much for the religious reasons: for me it's about family and friends, and the spirit of giving and receiving.
