The first few days of January were tough ones for the members of No Doubt. One of their most devoted fans Amy Pepper passed away right around the New Year. The band was so saddened to hear of her death, that they posted a special tribute message on their official website.

Along with some snapshots of the quartet with Amy Pepper and solo shots of the beloved fan, Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young wrote a note to the Ms. Pepper. “In memory of our friend Amy Pepper. Thank you for the years of love and support. We will miss you,” the band wrote on their site.

Pepper’s death must have come to a shock to the ‘Don’t Speak’ hitmakers, since they had just tweeted her well wishes for the holiday season prior to her passing. “Special holiday message for our friend @amypepper. We hope you get well soon and wish you a very happy new year xx,” No Doubt tweeted at Pepper on New Year’s Day.

Pepper actually wrote back to the rockers, “@nodoubt I’m feeling the love & support. It goes beyond my wildest dreams.Wishing you all a great holiday season & new year.” Sadly, Pepper passed away shortly after this message exchange. According to an obituary, it seems as if Pepper may have lost her battle against cancer. We send Pepper’s family our condolences during this time.
