New Iberia Checkpoint Nets 6 Arrests

A DUI checkpoint on W. St. Peter St. near the intersection of Sunset Blvd. in New Iberia ended with six arrests on Saturday night.

Of the 502 vehicles stopped, New Iberia Police say 17 were tested on standardized field sobriety testing and 17 drivers were issued citations.

Three DUI arrests were made, as well as three Narcotics arrests.
