I know that we aren't even to Christmas yet, but the news off what Netflix has in store for us next year is like the biggest present under the tree - and they've just offered us a peek!

The streaming turned television / movie studio has brought us some pretty impressive offerings so far.  With each hit, like Stranger Things or Haunting of Hill House, Netflix grows stronger - and they have been using that strength to pull in some of the biggest stars in Hollywood for their next big step.

People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive," Idris Elba, will play a failed DJ in Turn Up Charlie.  Since the man that lent Thor a hand as Heimdall is a DJ, we will get to see him actually display his turntable skills.

I am very excited about the upcoming The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.  Although Jim Henson (the father of Sesame Street, Muppets, Yoda, and so so much more) is no longer with us, the company that bears his name will tackle an immense prequel to the 80's favorite.  If you like fantasy and/or the Muppet Show - I highly recommend it.  Just as a warning, it does contain much darker themes than Big Bird is used to handling (death and torture kind of stuff).

One off the most anticipated projects set to stream into your living room in 2019 is the revival of Carmen Sandiego.  Gina Rodriguez (from Jane the Virgin) will provide the voice for a brand new iteration of the video game / TV character that taught kids about critical thinking and geography.

The John Legend helmed Rhythm + Flow will be the first music competition show on Netflix, and will bring none other than Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. on board as judges.
