My Getaway To Lake Cypress Springs, Texas

I took advantage of a 4-day weekend to take a road trip to Lake Cypress Springs, Texas, located near Scroggins, TX. (Between Interstates 20 and 30, halfway between Shreveport and Dallas).

Shannon's aunt has a camp there, complete with running water, fishing poles, two personal watercraft (Wave Runners), a party barge and a stocked refrigerator!

After a 5 hour drive (through the storm we had on Thursday evening), we arrived at the lake house at 3:30 in the morning to cooler temperatures and the sounds of crickets and frogs!

I spent the weekend fishing, cooking, boating and spending time with Shannon's relatives, and keeping an eye out for these guys...

According to the University of Florida, these are Huntsman Spiders.  I think.
