I DJ a lot of weddings in South Louisiana and while they are all very different, they are also all very similar.

A running joke in the DJ community  here is that you could show up with 100 songs in your library at a South Louisiana wedding and do a very good job. And that's because all wedding receptions here are that much alike.

So, let's take a look at the five songs you will most likely hear at any wedding reception you attend in South Louisiana.

Here are the results:

# 5: Haterz by Keith Frank

# 4: Two-Step Mamou by Wayne Toups

# 3: The Freeze by Ronnie Milsaps

# 2: Tennesse Whiskey

# 1: New Orleans Ladies by LeRoux

There are so many more songs that are played at wedding receptions in South Louisiana here are just a few that many requests when I am playing at receptions.
