Mudbug Madness 2014

I took a road trip this weekend to Shreveport, and attended the 31st Annual Mudbug Madness festival.

On Sunday, with the sounds of Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys and Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band in the air, the Mudbug Madness festival had the feel of what we are accustomed to in South Louisiana!

Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys tore it up as well! The only way I could tell that I wasn't in Acadiana was the fact that 90% of the people dancing weren't dancing like we dance, and the emcee really butchered the band's name.

The crawfish were tasty (though a little difficult to peel, the shells were hard), the music was great, and the beer was cold.

At the recommendation of my friend Mike (a Shreveport/Bossier native), we tried the Geauxcicles as dessert, and we weren't disappointed!

Not a bad way to spend a Sunday!
