Madonna Is Music’s Top Earning Female

Looks like the ole' gal still has it! Rolling Stone reports Madonna tops Forbes' list of top earning women in music for 2013. The Material Girl out earned pop stars half her age by a healthy margin.  She made 125 million dollars this year. Laday Gaga, half Madonna's age, was second. She earned 80 million. Twenty four year old Taylor Swift was third with 55 million.

It's rare for pop stars to sustain a high level of success for more than 4 or five years.That goes double when they're female. When Madonna emerged in the 80's, I said she'd be a flash in the pan. Her career has spanned more than 30 years. Pardon me while I put some dipping sauce on this crow...
