You can learn to make muscadine jelly and wine during a workshop at Vermilionville on September 12th!

Otherwise known as the "Grape of the South," muscadines are a wild growing grape, often found in the wooded parts of Louisiana in late summer, early fall. Their season may not last long, but fortunately these grapes are perfect for preserving and fermenting!

Greg Guidroz is a jack-of-all-trades: he is the founder of Vermilionville's "Seed to Skillet" program and has worked on the Bayou Operations team, as Vermilionville's gardener and boat captain, as an artisan and currently works as the Recreation & Education Coordinator...he'll also be teaching the September 12 Les Mains Guidées workshop on Canning and Preserving, where he'll focus on making muscadine jelly and wine.
