Lane Mack Issues Challenge; Our Own Sam Stokes Takes Him Up On It!
Lane Mack recently released his new EP "Swampodisiac" (which reached #2 on the iTunes Blues chart!), and with that release, he also issued a challenge.
The album is great (of course it is: Lane Mack has more talent in his pinky finger than I have in the whole of my being). It's a 5-cut EP: "Gimme That Love", "Bad Bad World", Hell on My Backside", "The Water Is Rising", and "Dynamite".
The challenge that Lane Mack issued was for all of his local guitar friends to attempt the guitar solo from the song "Gimme That Love".
Our own videographer/editor extraordinaire Sam Stokes decided to take Lane up on that challenge, and Sam really nails it!
Granted, Sam is an accomplished guitarist in his own right. He's played with people like Ray Boudreaux, Sean Bruce, Roddie Romero, Marc Broussard, Richard LeBouef, Dustin Sonnier (get the picture? The guy is good!), so it only stands to reason that he would be able to get it right on the first or second try.Now head over to iTunes and download Lane's EP - because buying local music helps support local talent which, in turn, helps us get more music in the future!
Now that you've experienced Sam's guitar prowess first-hand, head over to iTunes and download Lane's EP - because buying local music helps support local talent which, in turn, helps us get more music in the future!
Thank you for the great work, Lane and Sam, y'all keep it up!
