The Lafayette Women's Chamber of Commerce Annual Raffle is going on now.

The raffle will benefit the Lafayette Women's Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship Fund, and tickets are only $10 per chance.

By helping this non-profit organization, you could stand to win big:

GRAND PRIZE

The Grand Prize for the raffle is $5,000 CASH! Not a bad return on a $10 investment (if you are the lucky winner!).

2ND PRIZE

The 2nd Prize is a 3-night stay at Holy Toledo Resort at Toledo Bend Lake. The serenity of the pine trees swaying in the breeze while you are overlooking the 5th-largest man-made body of water in the United States. Be certain to bring your lucky fishing cap!

3RD PRIZE

Not too shabby of a prize: $500 CASH! That would cover a weekend getaway, or a new dishwasher, or 50 more tickets for next year's raffle!

The drawing will be held on October 15, 2021, at the Lafayette Women's Chamber annual fundraiser, the Cajun Match Game. This year, the Cajun Match Game will be held at Wonderland Performing Arts, an amazing performing arts studio and performance venue in the South College Shopping Center.

For more details on the drawing, and to get your tickets, visit the Lafayette Women's Chamber of Commerce website.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
