Lafayette Woman Describes Horrifying Shopping Experience

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - A woman in Lafayette, Louisiana, posted about her horrifying shopping experience in a store, and we want you to be aware of the situation she was in.

We won't name the woman or the place she was shopping, but the woman, whom we know very well, says that she felt like three men were following her around as she shopped in a local store.

She says that when she initially "bumped into" the three men, she didn't think much of it, but as she moved around the large store in Lafayette, every time she turned around, they were there.

According to the post that she shared on social media, the men seemed to always show up near her as she moved through various departments of the store, all while they did not have a shopping cart in their possession.

While looking for a toy for a family member, the woman shopping says that she saw two of the three men approaching her on one side of the aisle, while the other came from the opposite direction.

Following her instincts, the woman shopping rapidly approached the single male and nearly hit him with her shopping cart, and then was able to locate an employee in the store to describe what was happening.

She says the employee was kind enough to walk with her through the store and even escorted her to the front as she exited the store. In her own words, the woman says, "I have never felt so vulnerable and scared. You hear about it happening and pray it won't happen to you!"

I tell my wife all the time, when you're at a gas pump, keep your head on a swivel and always be aware of your surroundings. Police say the worst thing you can do is be on your phone, as it can be a form of distraction when out in public.

Again, we don't want to scare you or discourage you from getting out to shop local, but you need to be aware of who is around you, and if you have kids, NEVER let them out of your sight, as you never know who is watching or who may be around the corner.
