Lafayette Parish Schools Are Getting Rid Of Portable Buildings
You can help make Lafayette public school campuses safer for our students.
Developing Lafayette reports that Lafayette Parish Public Schools are planning to remove the roughly 420 portable buildings in use throughout the parish. Some of these buildings have been in use for 50 years and are both old and not the safest place for students and faculty to be in the event of severe weather. A one - percent sales tax is being voted on this month and if passed, all monies will be dedicated to removing the portable buildings and replacing them with permanent structures.
