Lafayette Parish Firefighters Working Gas Leak

Hazmat crews are on the scene of a gas leak in southern Lafayette Parish.

That leak happened on Verot School Road between Grandview Terrace and Maple Grove Lane. According to officials, a car may have hit a gas line, causing that leak.

The Milton Fire Department is working the scene, and the Lafayette Fire Department is assisting.

So far, there's no word of any injuries or evacuations.
