Lafayette Man Gets 20 Years Hard Labor In Kenneth Donnelly’s Death
Today Ian Trahan was sentenced to 20 years hard labor in the beating death of Kenneth Donnelly. Trahan was originally charged with second degree murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The prosecution offered a plea deal with a 15 year sentence if Trahan gave up information on a third party involved in the beating.
27 year old Wayland Guillory, the other suspect in the case pleaded guilty to manslaughter but has not been sentenced at this time.
Donnelly died as a result of being beaten with a metal object.
