Lafayette Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help Identifying a Woman Holding Machete During Altercation

If you do, Lafayette Crime Stoppers needs your help. According to the photo posted below the woman in the white sweater is believed to have been involved in an altercation where a machete was involved.

Police say the incident took place back on Thursday, April 1, 2021, in the 4500 block of Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette.

You can see the woman holding the machete in a parking lot off Ambassador Caffery near a Verizon store. There were no other details given or any reports of the woman using the machete to harm anyone, but Lafayette Police is asking anyone with information to call 232-TIPS or use their P3 TIPS mobile app.

If you know the woman's identity you will remain anonymous for your tip and can earn up to $1,000 for any info that leads to an arrest.
