Louisiana has several options for celebrating Independence Day depending on where you are or which way you're headed. Click through to see some of the options.

LAFAYETTE

Red, White and Boom, the July 4th celebration in Lafayette, Louisiana will feature the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra , Grammy Award Winning Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, and the Mageez. Chubby takes the stage at 6:30pm, the ASO at 7:30pm and the Fireworks will begin at approximately 9pm. The Freedom Festival portion of the festivities will be at Parc Putnam and the Conservatory Kid Zone will be at Parc Sans Souci. $5 admission gets you in to all 3 parcs!

ERATH

The highlight of the Annual Erath 4th of July Festival is the Water Fights between the area Fire Departments. If you're looking for some old-fashioned family fun, head to Cajun Country!

New Orleans

Go 4th on the River offers free music from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 4. Hear local musicians perform on Riverwalk's Spanish Plaza and don't miss the Dueling Barges Fireworks Extravaganza on the Mighty Mississippi at 9 p.m.

Baton Rouge

The annual Star-Spangled Celebration will kick off at 12:00 p.m. at the Riverfront Stage between the USS KIDD Veterans Memorial and Red Stick Plaza with live music starting at 3:00 p.m.
