Video Shows Amazon Drone Dropping Package in Baton Rouge During Delivery
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - As we previously reported, Amazon Drones are in the air, and now they are delivering packages in Baton Rouge.
Yes, the time has come for your Amazon package to be delivered by drone, and, as one video shows, the delivery company still has some work to do to ensure your packages are delivered safely.
Baton Rouge is the first city in Louisiana to have packages dropped off for customers by drone, mainly because the city has a fulfillment center there, which makes drop-off quick and easy.
However, as you willl see here, Amazon may still need to perfect their drop-offs after one customer videoed her package dropping hard to the ground below a drone.
Faith Miller posted a video of an Amazon Drone dropping off her package, which I must say is really cool. But the drone released the package while it was several feet above the ground, causing it to bounce off the lawn below.
Some did ask her if the package was damaged, and she said that it was a little "banged up and damp." Miller did not specify how banged up the contents in the package were, but you have to believe that if they were fragile, this isn't the "bump" you want the package to take.
Who Can get Prime Delivery Service
According to WBRZ, customers must be within 7.5 miles of the fulfillment center in order to use the company's Prime Air Service. Other cities where packages can arrive via a drone include f Phoenix, Detroit, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, as well as Waco, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and Kansas City, Missouri, where other fulfillment centers are located.

Here's Miller's package arriving a bit late via Prime Air Service. I do ask, how do you feel about this new service? Would you trust this form of delivery?
