Video Shows Massive Brawl Outside of Mel’s Diner in Lafayette, Louisiana

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - A video on social media shows a massive brawl between several combatants outside of Mel's Diner in Lafayette on Johnston Street.

The video starts with several young men exiting the diner, swinging at each other, and the confrontation spills into the parking lot.

This disturbing video shows several of the young men hitting each other, while some of the females who are nearby attempt to separate those fighting.

At one point, it appears that the fight is over, then it resumes, and it gets even more disturbing. Not only are more of these young men hit in the face by others, but you actually see one person kick another guy in the head while he is on the ground.

We won't speculate on what may have caused this fight or whether those fighting know each other, but this is certainly not what you want to see outside of any business.

The video ends as most go their separate ways, and at this time, we don't know whether any arrests were made as a result of the disturbance outside the Lafayette business. We spoke with the Lafayette Police, and they told us they have no information about the disturbance you can see below.

Of course, some on social media may suggest that you would rather see them throwing fists rather than resorting to other acts of violence, but this type of behavior is disturbing.

Someone convicted of Simple Battery in Louisiana may face up to six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
