The title of Jessica's latest blog post includes the words "Bible Challenge", and I must say, she is very excited about her accomplishment!

You see, at the beginning of 2016, Jess set a goal, in the form of a New Year's Resolution: to read the whole Bible!  (Actually, she set the goal in 2015, fell short, regrouped, tried again in 2016 and succeeded!)

Jess's posts have inspired me in the past, and this post is no different: to be able to read the whole Bible in 364 days is quite a feat!

In her latest blog post, Jess confesses that her challenge was just that: a challenge! Jess writes:

Was it easy?  No.  Did I want to give up?  Plenty of times.  Would I do it again?  100% yes!  Did I learn something?  Yes, the most important lesson in my journey through the Bible is you don't have to understand it all at once. - Jessica Lormand

She goes on to say that she realized that just even though she read the Bible all the way through, she is still no expert on the subject.

Even the most experienced Bible reader may not understand everything.  Like my pastor... Jeff Ables always says when reading scriptures from the Bible, "Don't take my word for it, see for yourself.  It's in the Bible."

Jessica says that now, when sitting in church and listening to readings from the Bible, she will have a better grasp as to what the preacher is talking about.

Another thing I am excited about when I sit in church and one of my pastors quotes a Bible Scripture I won't sit there feeling lost and confused.  Like I said, I will never be an expert on the Bible, but at least I will have an idea of what they are saying.

Congratulations, Jess!  I can tell you are excited about reaching your goal, and we want to thank you for using your accomplishments to encourage others to have faith and determination.
