A fractured control arm can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler is recalling certain 2004-2007 Jeep Liberty vehicles because the rear suspension lower control arms can fracture due to excessive corrosion, causing a loss of vehicle control.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear lower control arms free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 20, 2018.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit SafeCar.gov.
