Powerball fever is almost as strong in Louisiana as the current drought it. While farmlands, timberlands, and yards and gardens are drying up from lack of moisture, the flow of lottery cash into the state is doing just fine, thank you very much.

On Saturday night, September 30, 2023, the Powerball Lottery game held their regularly scheduled drawing. The jackpot on offer was an estimated 968.7 million dollars. Here's how that drawing played out.

You can verify at the Powerball website that the numbers drawn were:

19   30   37   44   46   Powerball 22  Power Play x2

The Powerball site confirms that no ticket sold for Saturday's drawing matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize. So, when the ping pong balls fall again on Monday night the estimated annuitized jackpot will be $1.04 billion dollars. The lump sum offering will be slightly less than half of that amount at $478.2 million dollars.

The Texas Lottery has confirmed there were seven $50,000 winners sold for Saturday's Powerball in that state. Texas Lottery has also confirmed two $100,000 winners in that same drawing. The Texas Lottery does not offer point of purchase information on prizes of less that $1,000,000 so that's all we can tell you about Powerball wins in the Lone Star State.

In Louisiana Saturday's Powerball was very generous to players. Almost 50 tickets sold for the Powerball on Saturday were winners of $100 or more. There were two big wins in Louisiana as well. One ticket was worth $50,000 and the other was worth $100,000. In both cases the ticket purchasers matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. The $100,000 winner opted for the Power Play option which for last night's drawing was "x2".

The Louisiana Lottery did confirm the point of purchase for the $50,000 winner was the Super One Food Store on Airline Drive in Bossier City. The $100,000 winner was sold in Lafayette, Louisiana. That ticket was purchased at More 4 Less Gold on Ridge Road. Again that ticket purchaser matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball and they added the Power Play option to their ticket.

There were no jackpot wins in Lotto or Easy 5 over the weekend. Those games won't hold a drawing again until Wednesday night. The next Powerball drawing will be on Monday, October 2, 2023. That is scheduled for 10 pm Louisiana time. Again the estimated jackpot is $1.04 billion.
