Duck Dynasty Clan Celebrates Amazing Family Milestone
We have another update on Louisiana's first family of flying fowl, I guess that's what the Robertson's of Duck Dynasty fame could be called, right? Just a few days ago we brought you an unpleasant update regarding health issues that some of the Robertsons, namely Phil and Miss Kay, have been dealing with.
But today, we have some good news to share regarding the Robertsons. I happen to think this is "the most Louisiana thing ever". The milestone in question truly sums up what real life in Louisiana is all about.
Is Duck Dynasty Coming Back to Television?
If you've watched Duck Dynasty, the TV show, in the past you know the focus is on family, fun, and frivolity. All of those are traits that seem to be embedded in the DNA of anyone who calls Louisiana home. However, in this case, the milestone we are sharing and celebrating is one that has to do with family.
In Louisiana, a little more than 3/4 of us who were born here have stayed here. The Robertson's of North Louisiana certainly fit in with that statistic. A recent social media post suggested that the family has five generations all living in the same neighborhood.
How Many Members of the Robertson Family Are on Duck Dynasty?
While not common everywhere, the closeness of families and generations of families in Louisiana certainly makes a scenario like this easy for us to understand and even easier for us to appreciate. But as we know from experience in Louisiana, just because you live close and you're related doesn't mean it will be easy for you to get together.
Such was the case during an important family milestone for the Robertsons as noted in this social media post.
The post was about a celebration for Korie's, Willie Robertson's wife, grandmother. The grandmother celebrated her 94th birthday on Friday and Korie's story on Instagram reflected the blessings of having so many loved ones close by. And the difficulty in getting all of those loved ones together in the same place at the same time.
The post was a gentle reminder that you have to be "intentional" in your relationships, even with family. So, let this be your motivation to connect with those you're related to and be intentional about sharing time together because we never know when that time might run out.
