If Lying Is Wrong, Are White Lies Okay: CJ’s Daily Message May 17, 2019

Do you believe it's wrong to lie?  If you answered yes, then are little white lies okay?  I'm torn on this one.

I've always tried to teach my kids not to lie.  I've asked them to always be honest with me even if they knew the truth would hurt.  And, of course, to do so toward others.

I try to live by example, but what about white lies?  Does the same standard apply?  I have to admit, I've told little white lies usually to save peace.  But the bottom line is, a lie is a lie.  Doesn't matter how big or how small.

So are little white lies okay then?
