UPDATE: The all-clear has been given by Louisiana State Police as congestion has cleared in both directions of Interstate 10.

Interstate 10 East is closed just past the Butte La Rose exit as emergency crews are working to extinguish a vehicle on fire. Louisiana State Police say congestion is about 5 miles in length. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route.  

There is also congestions on I-10 West from Mile Marker 126 to Mile Marker 122 on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. There are currently 4-mile delays.
