This Acadiana winter was vicious and hit plants hard, especially outdoor palms.  Driving around one can find dead palms, both small and large, in yards all over our area.  But are they really dead?

Many people have already started to replace their dried, dead-looking palms.  And they aren't cheap.  And more than likely, these plants are still alive.  All they need is lots of sunshine and a little help from you to bring out the new growth.

Watch this video before you spend hundreds of dollars replacing your palms.  Some people have reported seeing the palms they've pulled up and put out for garbage collection, actually showing signs of coming back to life while waiting on the garbage truck.  Being patient will save you money.
