It seems that most of my posts begin with 'I'm not a huge fan of television, but'.  But.  It seems that much of what I enjoy gets carried over to the television screen, and, more often than not, it gets all messed up.

Take, for instance, a great song.  A great song that gets butchered by a performer (for lack of a better word) doesn't do the song justice.

I have heard/read mixed reviews about Grey's Anatomy's recent 'music' episode, in which the actors actually sang on the program.  Yup, right in the middle of a scene, just busted out into song.  (I don't know WHY.. why don't you ask the producers?  They may have (not) a clue...).

Anyhoot, one of the songs chosen had been previously featured on Grey's.  It is originally done by a young lady named Brandy Carlile.  I have had the pleasure of seeing Miss Brandy perform on more than a dozen occasions, and the Grey's 'musical' really didn't do the song justice.

Admittedly, I am not an actor.  Nor am I much of a singer.  But, I am one heck of a critic!  You know my opinion going into this thing:  but I want to know what you think.  Which version is better?

Grey's?

Or Brandy's??
