Drivers in Fort Worth, Texas are being surprised in a big way this Thanksgiving.  Minor traffic violations are being forgiven by police but violators aren't pulling away empty handed.

This past Wednesday, police in Fort Worth, Texas pulled over drivers for minor traffic violations, but instead of handing out tickets, they gave drivers a turkey for Thanksgiving.  Drivers were surprised and thankful.  One driver even cried, she was financially strapped this year and didn't know how she was going to afford a meal this Thanksgiving.

Police stopped drivers in five different areas of the city.  Twenty five turkeys had been donated to the department.  Not only did this gesture on behalf of the Fort Worth Police Department feed the community this holiday, it also created a better bond between the citizens of Fort Forth and the local police department.   One violator who got a turkey said it was pretty inspiring, especially with how much hate there is around the country right now.
