Flash Flood Warning Until 3 PM

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a flash flood warning until 3 PM for portions of west central St. Martin Parish, northwestern Iberia Parish, and southeastern Lafayette Parish.

Flash flooding is already occurring and more significant flooding is expected with heavier rains moving back into the area. Locations that will experience major flooding include Lafayette, New Iberia, Broussard, Youngsville, Cade, Coteau, Acadiana Regional Airport, and Milton.

Residents are encouraged to remain home unless evacuating due to high water and to move to higher ground if necessary.
