Firefighters in Jeanerette, Louisiana Run for Cover as Lightning Strikes
Watch as a few firefighters in Jeanerette, Louisiana run for cover as soon as lightning struck near their fire station.
A line of severe thunderstorms with deadly lightning moved across the southern portion of Acadiana Tuesday afternoon and these firefighters weren't the only ones seeking shelter.
Video cameras from inside of the stalls where trucks are housed caught the moment lightning struck close by, and sent some firefighters scrambling for safety.
We don't think that there were any injuries in the strike, but it is a good reminder to always seek shelter as soon as you hear thunder approaching the area.
While they may be laughing at their frightful moment now, we know as soon as they saw the flash near the station in Jeanerette, there weren't many laughing then.
On a side note, we may or may not have been sent scrambling like the firefighters after lightning struck close to the radio station Tuesday afternoon.
