The USS Somerset was christened today at the Avondale Shipyard. She's the last of three Naval vessels to be named for, and incorporate steel from sites of the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks.

The Somerset bears that name in rememberance of the passengers and crew of  United Airlines flight 93, which went down in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

The USS New York's bow stem was contains 7.5 tons of steel from the World Trade Center. Steel from the Pentagon will be displayed on board the USS Arlington.
