(Lafayette, Louisiana) - Festival International is here in Downtown Lafayette, and while there may be plenty of food and drink vendors there, you need to be aware of one important tent: the medical service tent.

Our friends from Ochsner Lafayette General recently posted on social media that they will be back in the Downtown Lafayette area this weekend, and if you need medical attention, they are there for you.

With so much going on at the festival, you can become overstimulated and overheat, so if you are feeling like you need to be checked, know that medical professionals aren't far away. Or, if you have kids and one injures themselves, even if it's a small scrape, you can take them to the medical tent for First Aid treatment.

The Ochsner Medical Tent will be located this year for the Festival on Jefferson Street at Rue Principale Quest. As you will see in the photo at the end of this story, you can't miss the red First Flags that will be flying if you need to locate them.

I would highly encourage all of you attending Festival International to locate this tent before you begin the fun, so that you know exactly where it is in case you need their services.

On a side note, let me take the time here to remind you to stay hydrated while attending the Festival. While iit may be cloudy at times, you can still dehydrate when the humidity is high, so make sure you're drinking water occasionally while you're walking or dancing this weekend.

Another quick reminder, if you are bringing kids to the Festival, make sure that you place your name and contact information in your child's pocket. In the event you and your kid get separated, the police willl have a way to contact you.

Five Places to Visit That Make You Feel Like You’re in Old Lafayette

The city of Lafayette seems to grow each and every week, and that's a good thing, but still, there are places in the city you can visit that give you that "Old Lafayette" feel. Nostalgia is part of the Lafayette culture. We love to think back on events and places that may no longer exist, but luckily, there are still some places in Lafayette that make it feel like you're back in the 60s, 70s, or 80s. Let's look at a few places you can still visit in Lafayette that have that "Old Lafayette" feel for some odd reason.
